In May, we introduced a new feature that allows you to deposit your cheques directly into your HSBC accounts using the HSBCnet Mobile app. Mobile Cheque Deposit is now available from the ‘More’ menu in the app.
With Mobile Cheque Deposit, you can deposit CAD and USD cheques to your HSBC Bank Canada accounts using the HSBCnet Mobile app. To qualify for mobile deposit, cheques (including bank drafts and money orders) must be drawn from a Canadian or US financial institution.
You can view digital copies of your cheques in the HSBCnet Mobile app for up to 90 days from the date of deposit.
Additional reports are also available to you through the HSBCnet Reports and files download service. These new reports will help you monitor and reconcile your transactions by providing you with monthly summaries and details of your cheque deposits made using HSBCnet Mobile.
The reports you’ll be able to download are:
Report ID | Report name | Report description |
---|---|---|
LHORDC1 | Monthly Mobile Deposit Details Extract | List of all deposits made for the month |
LHORDC2 | Monthly Mobile Deposit Details | List of all deposits made for the month with cheque images |
LHORDC3 | Mobile Deposit Summary For The Month | Deposit summary by account number |
Note: if you don’t have access to these reports your HSBCnet System Administrator may need to update your user permissions to give you access to ‘All account entitlements’ in the Reports and files download service.
To begin using the Mobile Cheque Deposit service, you’ll need access to:
From the ‘More’ menu in the HSBCnet Mobile App, select ‘Deposit cheques’ to begin using the service.
Your HSBCnet System Administrator will need to update your user permissions to give access to the mobile ‘Remote deposit capture’ service. This can be done using HSBCnet’s ‘User management’ service.
Note: you’ll need to have location settings enabled to deposit cheques using the HSBCnet Mobile app. Mobile Cheque Deposit is only available when you're physically in Canada.
You can find more information about how to use the Mobile Cheque Deposit service by viewing the ‘How do I deposit a cheque using Mobile Remote Deposit Capture?’ quick guide in the HSBCnet Help Centre.
