China accounts: Non-Resident Account indicator now showing in Account Information

Last updated: 25 November 2019

On 17 November 2019, to meet local regulations in China, we updated HSBCnet’s Account Information service to include a Non-Resident account indicator for HSBC China accounts held by non-Chinese entities.

What’s changed?

If you have an HSBC China account in HSBCnet for an entity that isn’t based in China, you’ll now see the Non-Resident Account (NRA) indicator preceding your account number in HSBCnet. You’ll see this in Account Information’s Balance and Statement tabs, as well as in Excel/PDF statements you download using the ‘Export’ feature.

There will be no change to reports you download through HSBCnet’s Reports and Files Download service, or any auto-reconciliation reports you may have.
