For customers with accounts in the UAE: Value Added Tax payments to the UAE Federal Tax Authority

Commencing from 28 February 2018, you can submit Value Added Tax (VAT) payments to the UAE Federal Tax Authority from your accounts in the UAE.

This update complies with local regulations, which require banks in the UAE to support Value Added Tax payments to the Federal Tax Authority.

What does this mean for me?


You can use the following methods to make VAT payments from your accounts in the UAE:

  • Priority Payment screens in HSBCnet
  • File Upload services (HSBCnet, HSBC Connect and SWIFTNet)
