Customers with accounts in Mexico: cut-off time changes for SPEI payments

Effective 19 March 2017, in support of regulatory requirements for payments in Mexico, HSBCnet will extend the cut-off time for SPEI payments submitted on-screen or via File Upload as shown in the below table:

	Any day (Monday to Sunday, including bank holiday)	00:00 to 03:00	Will be processed 30 minutes after the payment is received.
	Any day	03:00 to 05:59	Will be processed immediately.
Greater than MXN 500,000	Monday to Friday	00:00 to 05:59	Will be processed at 06:00.
		06:00 to 17:29	Will be processed immediately.
		17:30 to 23:59	Will be processed at 06:00 the next working day.
	Saturday, Sunday or Bank holiday	Any time	Will be processed at 06:00 the next working day.

What happens if I submit a SPEI payment via File Upload with a past date as the payment’s value date?

If you are set up with the Value Date Roll Over option for your SPEI payments, the payment instruction will be processed at 06:00 Central Time the next working day.

If you are not set up with the Value Date Roll Over option for your SPEI payments, the payment instruction will be rejected and needs to be resubmitted in a new file with the next day as the value date, where it will be processed at 06:00 Central Time the next working day.
