Customer with accounts in the US: HSBC Official Cheques will no longer be available via HSBCnet

Last updated: 2 August 2017

Effective 31 August 2017, HSBC Official Cheques will no longer be available in the US via HSBCnet’s Priority/Wire Payment screens.

What this means for you

As a result of this update, Official Cheque instructions submitted via Priority/Wire Payment screens from 31 August 2017 will be rejected. Please note, HSBC will not be liable for any losses or delays relating to these unprocessed payments.

As an alternative, you can request cheque disbursements via HSBCnet’s Cheque Outsourcing Service (COS). To get setup with COS on HSBCnet, please contact your HSBC representative.

For your payees accepting electronic payment options, most payments can be submitted via ACH Credit, Priority/Wire Payment or Tax$ense for federal/state tax payment needs. You can also continue to visit an HSBC branch if you require Official Cheques.

For questions about this upcoming change, please contact your HSBC representative.
