Introducing new markets and features for requests for information

Last updated: 27 May 2024

In June 2024, the requests for information service will be made available for additional locations and enhanced to make it easier for you to send supporting documents.

Requests for information coming soon to China, Mexico and Poland

Previously, you may have been receiving requests for information related to certain payments from accounts located in China, Mexico and Poland via your local HSBC representative. From 17 June 2024, you will receive and be able to reply to requests for information directly in the HSBCnet Message Centre.

This change applies to payments originated in HSBCnet for accounts located in China (excluding Hang Seng Bank China), Mexico and Poland. For all other payments, where there are requests for information from your local HSBC representative, the existing processes will continue to be used.

We’re also making it easier to send supporting documents

From 13 July 2024, when responding to a request for information, you will be able to attach and send supporting documents directly in HSBCnet’s Message Centre. This feature will be available in the following countries/territories:

  • Australia
  • Bahrain
  • Canada
  • Egypt
  • France
  • Hong Kong SAR
