For customers with Hong Kong profiles: email payment alerts

Last updated: 11 November 2017

From 4 December 2017, you will start receiving email alerts for payments from accounts on your HSBCnet profile. You will receive an email notification for payment instructions that you have created on-screen or submitted via the File Upload service in HSBCnet.

To help customers detect unauthorised transactions, local regulatory guidelines recommend that banks issue payment alerts in Hong Kong.

What this means for you

Starting 4 December, we will send an email alert after a payment has been successfully created and authorised via HSBCnet payments screens or submitted using the File Upload service. These alerts are set up automatically and require no action by you.

Please note, there is no change for customers who have been receiving payment alerts via SMS.

Recommended action

You will receive the email alerts at the email address that is registered on your HSBCnet profile. Please review your profile to make sure that the email address is up-to-date and accurate.

If you do not want to receive the email alert, please contact your HSBC representative or local HSBCnet Support Centre.
