On 13 September 2020, we’re updating SPEI and third-party Priority Payment screens in HSBCnet to allow you to send email alerts to your beneficiaries when sending them a payment from your accounts in Mexico.
From 13 September, you’ll see the new ‘Payment advice’ field where you can add a beneficiary email address in your SPEI and third-party payment instructions created in HSBCnet. If you choose to provide an email address, your beneficiary will receive an email notification with two PDF documents attached, one in English and one in Mexican Spanish. *
The notifications to beneficiaries are only available via email in PDF format.
If you wish to send these optional email notifications to your beneficiaries, make sure that you have their correct email address in your records. We also recommend that you inform your beneficiaries that they’ll start receiving these emails so they know to expect them.
If you have any questions, please contact your local HSBCnet Support Centre.
* Beneficiary email notifications are not confirmation of final payment. All payments are subject to normal screening and validation processes and final payment is at the discretion of the beneficiary bank.
