We’ve recently introduced mobile authentication, which allows you to use your mobile device to log on to HSBCnet on your computer. Once you’ve activated your mobile device, you can securely access HSBCnet services without your physical Security Device.
Your Security Device battery should last anywhere from 3 to 5 years with normal use. Setting up mobile authentication will help with your preparation in the event that your Security Device runs out of battery or is lost.

Whether you log on using your Security Device or mobile device, you may still be required to use your Security Device for some HSBCnet functions.
We recommend that you review your users’ profile details. Mobile authentication will help make sure that they can continue to access HSBCnet even if their Security Device is unavailable.
If your organisation needs to retain Security Devices, make sure you regularly check your inventory. The “How do I order additional Security Devices?” guide gives you step-by-step information on ordering new devices. Please allow sufficient time for delivery. Delivery is subject to availability of local mail/courier services.
