UK account holders: new Advice of Wrong Account for Automated Credits report available from 9 September 2019Last updated: 26 August 2019 From 9 September 2019, we’re introducing the new Advice of Wrong Account for Automated Credits (AWACS) report for accounts in the UK. This new report will be produced if you’ve attempted to make a BACS ACH Credit payment to a beneficiary account number that’s no longer valid. This may occur when an account has been closed or if it’s been moved to another bank. What do I need to do? To access the new AWACS report, you’ll need account-level permissions to create ACH Credit payments from a UK account, and the Account Level Report permissions for the Reports and Files Download service. After 9 September, when the report is produced, it will be available for you to download in the Reports and Files Download service on HSBCnet. If you receive this report after sending a BACS ACH Credit payment, we recommend checking your payments or templates to make sure that you’ve used the correct sort code and account number for your beneficiaries. You may also need to contact the beneficiary to confirm you’re including accurate account details. Find out more If you need any assistance with permissions or downloading reports, please contact your local HSBCnet Support Centre.
