For customers with accounts in France: enhanced statement narratives in Customised Reports using MT940 formatLast updated: 1 May 2018 On 7 July, we’re enhancing the quality of statements for your accounts in France and these changes will enrich the HSBCnet Report Writer service for MT940 format. What’s changing? We’re enhancing the information provided in the Narrative column for statement data to provide more detailed transaction information. This update will apply to the narratives for all transaction types. If you use ERP systems or automated account reconciliation programs for your statements of accounts in France, you may be impacted. To ensure the on-going operation of your automated reconciliation processes, we recommend that you review your internal systems, and if required, update them as of 7 July. The following table outlines changes to the statement narratives effective 7 July 2018. This change affects the MT940 file format only. Other statement formats generated via Report Writer will remain unchanged, eg. BAI2, CSV, Excel, PDF, and CFONB. Please note: the examples below are for the purposes of demonstrating the changes and they may not exactly match your statement entries.
