Customers with Trade accounts: enhancements to Guarantee and Standby Documentary Credit detail reports

Last updated: 6 February 2017

Effective 3 April 2017, the Guarantee detail report (Report ID: GUGD) and Standby Documentary Credit detail report (Report ID: SDGD) will be enhanced for customers with trade accounts in Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines and Singapore to provide improved transaction information that you can use for your reference.

Updates to Guarantee and Standby Documentary Credit detail reports will include:

  • addition of Issuance Date field to the reports.
  • the removal of Guarantee and Standby Documentary Credit transactions with zero outstanding amounts (i.e. the amount of possible claim by the beneficiary is already zero).
  • for CSV format, existing “DATE” field will be displayed at the report level and not at individual transaction level.

In addition, the Guarantee detail report will display a blank expiry date field for open-ended Guarantees.

You can download the updated Guarantee and Standby Documentary Credit detail reports from the Report Centre service on HSBCnet in PDF, TXT and CSV formats.

Do you upload reports to your accounting software?
If you subscribe to Guarantees and Standby Documentary Credits Services on HSBCnet and currently upload reports of these products to your accounting software, you may need to update your accounting software prior to 3 April 2017 to cover the above changes to ensure accurate recording and displaying of the enhanced report information.

For questions about this enhancement, or enquiries about adding these reports to your HSBCnet profile, please contact your HSBC Trade representative.
