This new service does not affect existing Standing Order instructions (created outside of HSBCnet) which will continue to be processed in the same way you are used to. However, you may choose to amend or cancel these instructions within HSBCnet using this new service.

What is the difference between existing Standing Orders and Standing Instructions on HSBCnet?

The new Standing Order instructions service allows you to view, amend, or cancel existing standing orders set up through branch, over the phone or from written instructions. You may also create new standing order instructions within HSBCnet. This service is available for transactions from GBP currency UK Business Current accounts only.

Standing Instruction functionality is an existing HSBCnet service that supports the creation of recurring cross-border payment instructions from a variety of account types in multiple currencies. For more information on Standing Instructions, please review the user guide available by selecting ‘Help’ within the Create New Payment screen.

Action required
In order to use this feature, your System Administrator must first entitle you to the Standing Order service and to the Debit accounts from which you are making payments using the Modify User Access Level service in HSBCnet.

The following Quick Guides, with instructions on how to use this feature, will be available in the service Help Text on HSBCnet:

  • How do I create a Standing Order for UK accounts?
  • How do I amend/cancel a Standing Order for UK accounts?

To review these guides, please select the Help option in the top right corner of the Standing Order service.

For additional information regarding the Standing Order service, please contact your local HSBCnet Support Centre or HSBC representative.
