Enhanced Inter-Account Transfer service for GBP currency accounts in the UK
Dear HSBCnet User,
Effective 1 September, Inter-Account Transfers from UK-based GBP currency accounts are being enhanced to improve processing times on HSBCnet. As of the effective date you will notice that these types of transactions will be posted to your account more quickly than previously experienced.
You will not be required to amend the way you input Inter-Account Transfer transactions on HSBCnet as a result of this enhancement. However, please ensure sufficient balance/liquidity is available on your accounts to facilitate these transactions to avoid delays in processing.
In addition to improving processing times for GBP Inter-Account Transfers from UK accounts, we are also amending the bank references that are applied to these transactions. The new bank reference format aligns with the existing format for Priority Payments and foreign currency Inter-Account Transfers.
GBP Inter-Account Transfer bank reference format Current
As of 1 September
HNETxxxxxxxxxxxxx
GBIxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
The underlying SWIFT codes and BAI codes related to these Inter-Account Transfer transactions will not be changed as part of this enhancement.
If you require additional information, please contact your local HSBCnet Support Centre.
Sincerely,
Your HSBCnet Team
