Gain more control over foreign exchange (FX) rates with Get Rate
Dear HSBCnet User,
Get Rate is now available on local currency (MXN) accounts in Mexico to help you make timely and efficient cross-currency payments with a few simple clicks. This easy-to-use feature offers greater control over your currency payments, allowing you to view and instantly confirm FX rates when making single urgent payments, inter-account transfers and demand drafts from your local accounts.
Key benefits:
- Get Rate can be used for payments in most major currencies
- Save time - no need to call your FX dealer or Relationship Manager to get a rate for everyday payments
- Get real-time FX rate information
- View the rate before accepting it
- Execute your payment when the rate is favourable
- Improve reconciliation accuracy and straight through processing
How it works
Get Rate is simple to use and appears automatically for eligible payment instructions at the final stage of authorising individual transactions. It provides you with a real-time quote for the debit/credit amounts and the exchange rate. The currencies and maximum values supported by Get Rate in Mexico include: USD, CAD, EUR, GBP, JPY.Important note about authorisation:
Get Rate eligible transactions cannot be processed in bulk using a single authorisation (eg. Select all > Authorise selected). To process these transactions efficiently, tick the checkbox next to the applicable FX transactions and choose “Authorise selected one by one”. This will allow you to review and accept the rates for each selected payment prior to authorisation. You may also click on the underlined payment amount to obtain the Get Rate offers for each payment individually.
For more information about how to use Get Rate, the following two manuals are available in the HSBCnet Help Centre by entering “Get Rate” into the Search function:
- How do I use Get Rate when authorising a payment?
- Get Rate available currency pairs
Additional information can be found in the Payments User Guide within the payments service Help Text on HSBCnet.
For any other assistance or if you would like to disable the Get Rate feature, please contact your HSBC representative or local HSBCnet Support Centre.
Sincerely,
Your HSBCnet team
