In August 2024, we’re upgrading our systems to provide more information to help you reconcile your UK Faster Payment bill payments in HSBCnet.
What this means for you
Starting in August, the transaction narrative for Faster Payment bill payments debiting HSBC UK accounts will include details about the payee in HSBCnet's Account Information service. The additional details will be included when you export statements from Account Information in Excel and PDF formats. There is no impact to standard or custom reports generated through the Reports and Files Download or Global Information Reporting services.

Please note: The examples above are for the purposes of demonstrating the changes and they may not exactly match your statement entries.
If you use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or automated account reconciliation programs for your electronic statements, you may be impacted. We recommend that you review these updates with your own IT specialists and, if necessary, make arrangements to update your systems by 2 August 2024.
