Sending a Qatar tax payment in HSBCnet?

Last year, we informed you of changes to settling tax payments in Qatar. As a reminder, per the General Tax Authority in Qatar, you should use HSBCnet’s Bill Payments service to make E-Tax payments from accounts in Qatar. Tax payments sent to the General Tax Authority in Qatar using Priority Payments will be rejected.

What this means for you

HSBCnet’s Bill Payments service helps makes it easier for you to enquire and directly settle outstanding Qatar tax liabilities in Qatari Riyal (QAR) or US Dollars (USD) currencies. To help prevent payment rejections and potential delays, settle Qatar tax payments using the Bill Payments service.

Using the Bill Payments service to make E-Tax payments

When paying a biller from an HSBC account in Qatar:

Select ‘Bill Payments’ from the Payments and Transfers menu.
Choose Qatar as the beneficiary bank location.
Select the debit account you want to pay from using the Debit account drop-down field.
Input the relevant Tax identification number (TIN) to enquire on available bills to pay.

Getting started

To begin making bill payments, your System Administrator will need to grant you permissions to the Bill Payments service and the accounts you’ll be making payments from. The Bill Payments service is available for HSBC Qatar accounts held in Qatari Riyal (QAR) or US Dollars (USD) only.

Bill payments submitted through HSBCnet are subject to the currently agreed charges as applicable for Outward Electronic Remittances for Qatar accounts. For information about fees and charges, please review the 'HSBC Qatar Corporate Tariff and Charges' available at
www.business.hsbc.com.qa.
