Sending a Qatar tax payment in HSBCnet?

HSBCnet’s Bill Payments service makes it easy for you to enquire and directly settle outstanding tax liabilities in Qatari Riyal (QAR) or US Dollars (USD) currencies in Qatar at any time.

What’s changing?

Currently, you may be using HSBCnet’s Priority Payments service to settle outstanding Qatar tax payments. Per the General Tax Authority in Qatar, going forward, the Bill Payments service should be used to make tax payments for accounts in Qatar.

Tax payments received by the General Tax Authority in Qatar using the Priority Payments service will be rejected.

Using Bill Payments to make E-Tax payments

HSBCnet’s Bill Payments service allows you to make E-tax payments to the General Tax Authority in Qatar.

When paying a biller from an HSBC account in Qatar:

  1. Select ‘Bill Payments’ from the Payments and Transfers menu.
  2. Choose Qatar as the beneficiary bank location.
  3. Select the debit account you want to pay from the Debit account drop down field.
  4. Input the relevant Tax identification number (TIN) to enquire on available bills to pay.

Getting started

To begin making Bill Payments, your System Administrator will need to grant you permissions to the Bill Payments service and the account(s) you’ll be making payments from. The Bill Payments service is available for any HSBC accounts in Qatar held in Qatari Riyal (QAR) or US Dollars (USD) only.

Bill payments submitted through HSBCnet are subject to the currently agreed charges as applicable for Outward Electronic Remittances for Qatar accounts. To learn more about fees and charges, please see the 'HSBC Qatar Corporate Tariff and Charges' document on www.business.hsbc.com.qa
