Qatar accounts: submit on-screen Wages Protection System payments in HSBCnet from 4 April

Beginning 4 April, we’re updating HSBCnet to provide you an on-screen option to send Wages Protection System (WPS) payments from your HSBC accounts in Qatar.
What this means for you
From 4 April 2021, you’ll have a ‘Wages Protection System (WPS)’ option when creating new ACH Credit payments that debit your Qatar accounts. This new option will make it easier for you to review and submit salary payment instructions using HSBCnet.
The new WPS payment option will also include the following fields to meet the recent regulations set by the Qatar Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor, and Social Affairs:
- Housing allowance
- Food allowance
- Transportation allowance
- Overtime allowance
- Deduction reason code
