On 9 May 2021, we’re updating HSBCnet to support the new DuitNow Request that will be available for your HSBC accounts in Malaysia. With the DuitNow Request service you’ll be able to receive payment requests directly from your payees.
What this means for you
From 9 May, your payees will be able to send a DuitNow Request directly to you using your account number and SWIFT/BIC or your DuitNow ID.
To view DuitNow Requests in HSBCnet, select the ‘Requests for Payment’ option from the Payments and transfers mega menu option.
Here’s an example of the Request for Payment screen:

How do I action a DuitNow Request?
Any user with the permissions to create Priority Payments from your Malaysia accounts will be able to approve or reject a pending Request for Payment.
Account information and statement reporting
From 9 May, your statement entries in Account information and in reports downloaded using the Reports and files download service will be updated to include additional DuitNow Request information.
If you use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or automated account reconciliation programs for your electronic statements, you may be impacted. Please review the detailed information about the changes to your statement reporting.
