Hello,

Starting from 7 January 2022, we're introducing Auto Account Registration (AAR) for your current, savings, and loan accounts held with HSBC Bank Malaysia and HSBC Amanah Malaysia Berhad. This automated process eliminates the need for you to submit additional documentation to load your accounts to HSBCnet.

What this means for you

Auto Account Registration simplifies your account management process by automatically loading your accounts to your HSBCnet profile:

  • Existing accounts - your current, savings, and loan accounts that are open but not currently loaded to your HSBCnet profile.
  • New accounts - any new current, savings, and loan accounts that you have recently opened.

Existing customers that have already enabled for Auto Account Registration will have the enablement extended for their loan accounts whilst existing customers who don’t have Auto Account Registration enabled, the current enhancement will be enabled for both your current/savings accounts and loan accounts.

Existing accounts that are already on your HSBCnet profile today will not be affected and no action is required.

From 7 January 2022, we’ll start adding these accounts to your HSBCnet profile. Once added, you’ll be able to view account balances and statements for these accounts using HSBCnet’s Account information and Reports and files download services.

As an HSBCnet System Administrator, you will need to grant permissions to any users that are required to view information and reports for these accounts*. If you’d like to be able to process payments or use additional services for these accounts, please contact your HSBC representative.

Please note:

  • The terms and conditions of your existing HSBCnet agreement will continue to apply and will include Auto Account Registration.
  • If you wish to opt-out of Auto Account Registration, please contact your local HSBCnet Support Centre by Thursday, 6 January 2022.

* If you have users that are enabled with the 'auto-entitle user' feature, they will automatically receive access to these accounts.
