Customers with accounts in the US: same-day settlement option for ACH transactions

On 31 October 2016, the US National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA) enabled same-day settlement for ACH Credit payments. In support of this update, HSBCnet’s ACH Credit payment service has been enhanced to allow you to submit US ACH Credit payments that are settled on the same day’s value date.

In order to submit your ACH Credit payments with same-day settlement, your payments must be:

created and authorised before 12:00 noon EST;
less than or equal to USD $25,000; and
issued to a domestic beneficiary (where beneficiary bank location is located within the US).

Please note, ACH Credit payments submitted for same-day processing are subject to additional charges. For pricing information, please contact your HSBC representative.

In order to prevent additional charges for ACH Credit payments, please provide the value date as the next/future business day’s date.
