Many users find that using a mobile phone to generate a security code via the HSBCnet Mobile app suits their business needs, instead of using a physical Security Device.
Activating mobile authentication
You can switch on the mobile authentication feature through the HSBCnet app by following the instructions below*. If you don’t have the HSBCnet app on your smartphone, you can download it from the Apple App Store or Google PlayTM.
To complete your activation, follow these 3 steps:
If you don’t see the mobile authentication option in the app, contact your System Administrator to grant you the necessary ‘mobile device’ permission in the User management service.
