Purpose of Payment code requirements for domestic payments in Turkey
1. On-screen payments in HSBCnet:
For Priority Payments in HSBCnet, you’ll need to select a ‘Transaction type’ code from the drop down menu in the Additional details section. Additional details of the transaction can also be included in the ‘Transfer explanation’ field.

2. Payments submitted using File Upload or HSBC Connect
If you currently submit domestic payment files using File Upload or HSBC Connect, you’ll need to include a valid Purpose of Payment code in your payment files by 30 November. If you don’t include a valid Purpose of Payment code in your payment files, the ‘099 – Other’ code will be added in by default.
Note: using an incorrect Purpose of Payment code in your payment files may result in delays with your payments.
