China accounts: new balance of payment fields available 8 FebruaryLast updated: 3 February 2020 Beginning 8 February, Priority Payments created using HSBCnet’s Payments service will feature a new ‘Additional details’ section where you can include all of the information required for the balance of payment (BOP) form directly in your payment instruction.* When you submit balance of payment information using HSBCnet payment screens, you’ll no longer need to attach the BOP form or provide a physical copy. What does this mean for me? Priority Payment screens automatically include this new section for foreign currency and cross-border payments from your HSBC China accounts. The ‘Additional details’ fields will be available when your payment instructions include the following criteria:
Here’s what the new ‘Additional details’ section will look like:** (select image to enlarge) If you want to attach the same BOP form you currently use, instead of using the new payment fields, select ‘No’ when asked ‘Are you providing balance of payment details?’. You can then continue to create your payment the same way you do now. If you use HSBCnet’s File Upload service or HSBC Connect, there will be no changes to how you submit these payments. Find out more If you have any questions about including balance of payment information in your payments from your HSBC China accounts, please contact your local HSBCnet Support Centre.
* Subject to availability of new HSBCnet payment screens. ** The ‘Transaction remarks‘ field will not be displayed if you’ve selected the Domestic BOP option.
