Hong Kong SAR account holders: Payments and Alias Management service updatesLast updated: 26 August 2019 Starting 9 September 2019, we’ll be updating our Payments and Alias Management services in Hong Kong to give you more options when making Faster Payment System (FPS) payments. What does this mean for me? When creating a Priority Payment from a Hong Kong-domiciled HKD or RMB account, you'll see a new Payment service section, where you can choose to process your payment as a Standard Real-time Gross Settlement (RTGS) or FPS payment (when eligible). FPS Payment service option: We're also updating our Alias Management service in Hong Kong to allow you to use your email address or mobile phone number as one of the Request to Pay alias options available with the Making a Request to Pay feature.* This is in addition to the FPS Identifier that you can already use. Making a Request to Pay feature: Find out more If you have any questions about making payments from Hong Kong accounts, please contact your local HSBCnet Support Centre.
* The 'Making a Request to Pay' feature is available for customers who use the HSBC Business Collect service only. For more information about this service, please contact your local HSBC representative.
