Taiwan accounts: upcoming changes to ACH payments and filesLast updated: 25 November 2019 Beginning 9 December 2019, your Taiwan ACH payments will support longer ‘Beneficiary account number’ and ‘Narrative‘ fields for both on-screen ACH payments and payment files submitted using the HSBCnet File Upload or HSBC Connect services. What does this mean for me? On 9 December, the ‘Beneficiary account number‘ field will be increasing to 16 digits, and your ‘Narrative‘ field will increase to allow up to 40 characters.
Note: If you submit ACH payment files in the iFile, Paymul, or XML formats, you won’t need to make any changes.
