For customers with accounts in the Czech Republic and Poland: upcoming changes to electronic statements effective 12 November 2018

On 12 November, you may notice changes to the Transaction Type Code and Narrative of statements for your accounts in the Czech Republic and Poland. These statements are available on HSBCnet in the Account Information service or in Statement Reports via the Reports and Files Download service. This update will apply to the narratives for SEPA Credit Transfer transaction types specifically.

What this means for you

If you use ERP systems or automated account reconciliation programs for your statements of accounts in the Czech Republic and Poland, you may be impacted. To ensure the on-going operation of your automated reconciliation processes, we recommend that you review your internal systems, and if required, update them as of 12 November.

This change affects the following file formats: MT940, BAI2 End of Day, CSV, and Excel.
