For customers with HSBC China accounts: weekend and holiday payment dates available as of 11 March 2018

Effective 11 March, you’ll be able to send domestic CNY currency payments from your HSBC China accounts on weekends and bank holidays.

What does this mean for me?

Weekend and holiday value dates will be available on HSBCnet for the following domestic payments from CNY accounts held with HSBC China:

• Priority Payments
• Inter-account Transfers
• Customer Transfers

If your payment meets the criteria required by the local Internet Banking Payment System*, HSBC China will process the payment on the desired weekend/holiday date.

The availability of weekend and holiday value dates does not apply to Instruction Level Authorisation (ILA) payment files submitted via HSBCnet’s File Upload service or HSBC Connect.

* The Internet Banking Payment System is a nationwide real time clearing system in China, which can process CNY domestic payments that are not more than CNY 50,000. Currently, about 200 member banks participate in this local clearing system.
