Customers with accounts in the Mexico: mandatory Purpose of Payment codes for domestic USD (SPID) payments

Please review the below for detailed information on how to include Purpose of Payment codes in your domestic USD (SPID) payments in Mexico.

SPID payments submitted via the File Upload service

The Purpose of payment should contain the following information:  
/BENEFRES/Country Code*//Purpose of payment. 
Example:
. /BENEFRES/MX//01

* Country code should be 2 characters as per ISO standard.

Important reminder about SPID beneficiary registration

SPID payments can only be issued to registered beneficiaries. To register your SPID beneficiaries, please contact your HSBC representative to complete and submit a SPID beneficiary registration form.

Please note, once a SPID beneficiary’s account has been registered with HSBC, they will be registered for both on-screen as well as File Upload payments.
