Beneficiary registration for Mexican debit accounts: Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Can I use the currently available CSV Payment Beneficiary file format for registering and submitting payments?

Yes, this file format will continue to work for registering payment beneficiaries; but please note, this is not a payment file.

  1. How long does it take for a new beneficiary to get registered on HSBCnet using options A, B, or C?

    30 minutes.

  2. If my payment file contains both registered beneficiaries and unregistered beneficiaries, will the entire file get rejected?

    If you choose:
    • Option A (uploading a Payments to Existing and New Beneficiaries file):
HSBCnet will first register the new beneficiaries. After 30 minutes, the entire file’s payments will processed.

    • Option B (uploading a Payments to Existing Beneficiaries only file):
The payments to unregistered beneficiaries will be rejected and the payments to previously registered beneficiaries will be processed.  Any new beneficiaries in this file will be registered for future payments.

    • Option C (uploading a Beneficiaries registration file):
HSBCnet will only register the new beneficiaries and reject any payment instructions.

  1. Where can I find help with the beneficiary registration process?

For complete instructions, select ‘Help’ in the File Upload service and review the Beneficiary Registration using payment files formats User Guide.

You can also contact your local HSBCnet Support Centre for assistance.

  2. How do I find out which beneficiaries are registered on HSBCnet?
