For customers with accounts in the UK: enhanced statement narratives

On 21 April, we`re enhancing the quality of statements for the Priority Payments crediting accounts in the UK (GB accounts) and these changes will enrich the HSBCnet Account Information service.

What’s changing?

We’re enhancing the information provided in the Narrative column for Current day statement data to provide more detailed transaction information. This updated narrative is also consistent with how we currently provide Prior day data. Prior Day data and other transaction type will remain unchanged. 

This will only be visible if you enquire in Account Information for today’s Priority Payments credit activity on GB accounts.

The images below highlight what your Account Information screen will look like before and after 21 April.

We`ll also include this updated narrative in your exported Excel statements as of 21 April. As a result of this change, your internal Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or automated account reconciliation programs may need updating. We recommend you review your internal systems and, if required, update them to support the enhanced narrative (as shown in the image above).
