You will be required to authorise or reject any pending transactions from your HSBC accounts in Turkey prior to 1 December at 16:00 (Turkey local time). Payments that are in 'Pending authorisation' status on 2 December will be rejected by the bank.

Forward-dated payments scheduled for 2 December or later will need to be cancelled and recreated after 4 December.

Customers downloading statements from HSBCnet:
Information in your bank statements will change as part of this update, and as a result your ERP systems or automated account reconciliation programs may be impacted. If you download statements from HSBCnet for your ERP integration software, please review the following to make sure that the ongoing operation of your automated reconciliation process for accounts in Turkey will continue to operate successfully after 2 December:

  • Check that your ERP system supports IBAN format.
  • On 2 December, update your ERP system setup, if needed.

Customers submitting payments via File Upload service:
From 2 December, you will need to input the new IBAN format in your Turkish payment files that are uploaded with Pre-Authorised, Instruction Level and File Level Summary/Detail authorisation levels.

Do I need to update User entitlements, account signature limits, customised reports, payment templates or the Automated File Delivery service on HSBCnet?

No, all HSBCnet services will be updated as part of this change and require no further action by you.
