Customers with accounts in Singapore: HSBC Singapore bank holiday on Saturday, 7 May 2016HSBC Singapore will be performing system upgrades over the weekend of 6-9 May 2016. As part of this upgrade, accounts in Singapore will be unavailable on HSBCnet from Saturday, 7 May 2016 at 6:00am Singapore Time (SGT) to Monday, 9 May 2016 at 6:00am (SGT). To accommodate this system upgrade, Saturday, 7 May 2016 has been marked as a bank holiday on HSBCnet for HSBC Singapore. Please refrain from value dating your transactions on Saturday, 7 May 2016. If you do select this value date for a payment instruction on HSBCnet, you will receive an error and be asked to input another date (the next available value date will be Monday, 9 May). Recommended action: As payments services will be unavailable for Singapore accounts on HSBCnet during the upgrade, we recommend that you submit and process payment instructions (for any payments due by 7 May) before the cut-off time on Friday, 6 May. These system upgrades are being conducted to support the transfer of our Retail Banking and Wealth Management business in Singapore (the “RBWM Business”) from the existing HSBC Singapore Branch to the locally incorporated subsidiary, HSBC Bank (Singapore) Limited (the “Subsidiary”) effective from Monday, 9 May 2016. It is also being conducted to enhance local system capabilities to allow HSBC to better serve all HSBC Singapore customers. With the transfer of the RBWM Business, HSBC Singapore Branch and the Subsidiary will operate as two separate legal entities from Monday, 9 May 2016. Each is required to have its own distinct entity reference name and bank identifier codes, set out in the table below:
For corporate customers, your bank details will remain the same. However, if you are making payments to HSBC retail accounts (otherwise known as “personal” or “individual” accounts), from Monday, 9 May 2016, please ensure that you include the new Subsidiary bank details.
